How to Choose
Not all insulation contractors are the same, and the cheapest bid is rarely the best value. The right contractor sizes the job correctly, uses the right material and R-value for your home, and leaves the space clean and performing for years — the wrong one leaves gaps, mess, and callbacks.
Attic Pros has installed and removed attic and crawl-space insulation across the Bay Area for over 13 years. We're properly licensed, independently reviewed, and we put every recommendation and price in a clear written estimate — free, with no pressure. Here's what to weigh before you sign with anyone.
Do Your Homework
Six things worth checking before you hire anyone — and yes, we're happy to be measured against every one of them.

Look for a team that does attic and crawl-space insulation day in, day out — not a general handyman adding it on.
Verified Google reviews and third-party ratings (we're Diamond Certified and an Angi Super Service Award winner) beat a self-written testimonials page.
A good contractor inspects on site and gives a detailed written scope and price — free, with no high-pressure close.
Reputable installers stand behind their work. Ask what's guaranteed and for how long before you commit.
A team that knows Bay Area homes, climate, and code will spec the right R-value and material for your house.
Watch Out
If you notice any of these while getting quotes, keep looking — they're the warning signs behind most bad insulation jobs.
No verifiable license
A contractor who can't or won't give you a license number to look up is a hard pass.
Verbal-only quotes
No written scope or price means nothing to hold them to — and room for surprise charges later.
No reviews or references
No online reviews, ratings, or references you can check is a reason to be cautious.
High-pressure sales
"Sign today or the price goes up" tactics are designed to stop you from comparing options.
No warranty
If they won't stand behind the work in writing, you're carrying all the risk.
A bid far below the rest
An outlier-low quote usually means thin material, skipped prep, or cut corners you'll pay for later.
How We Work
A good insulation job is about assessment and prep as much as the material. Here's what working with us looks like.
We inspect your attic or crawl space, check current R-value, moisture, and any rodent damage, and confirm what your home actually needs.
We recommend the insulation type — blown-in, batt, and more — and the R-value that fits your home, climate zone, and goals.
If the existing insulation is contaminated, compressed, or rodent-damaged, we remove and haul it away before installing.
We install to the specified R-value with even coverage and proper prep — no gaps, no shortcuts — and protect your home as we work.
We verify coverage, clean up completely, and walk you through the finished job and what to expect.

Why Attic Pros
For over 13 years, homeowners and businesses across the San Francisco Bay Area have trusted us for attic and crawl-space insulation — because we do it right, in writing, and stand behind it.
Real Customers, Real Results
Attic Pros recently replaced my old insulation with new insulation. I called them back today 3 weeks later to check on the Rat traps they placed in the Attic as I experienced an unusual odor coming from the air vents throughout the house. Jose of Attic Pros responded and was a very upbeat chearful person who explained what he was going to do prior to going into the Attic to check on the Rat Traps. Fortunately the traps were still set with no activity. Jose took photos ( see attached) while he was in the Attic which showed no activity. I later found that the odor was a filter in the hvac systrem which had debris which causec the odor. Jose completed the inspection by walking around the house and inspecting the outside vents which I appreciated. All the Attic Pro employees which I have come into contact with are Professional, friend;y an do a thouough job completing whatever jobs in their field are requested.
These guys are great! Wais Amiry came out to take a look at my attic for rat infestation, they showed up fast and they were super professional. Would use them again!
Denis from Attic Pros was very thorough and does a great job. He is thoughtful, patient and a good listener to all my concerns. Our home is peaceful now that we don’t have any rodents! I recommend him highly.
Tom is a professional and did a very detailed inspection, also gave additional details to prevent in future infestation.
My wife and I found mice droppings in our kitchen cabinet. We reached out to Attic Pros and was connected with Tom. He was very professional and thorough with his inspection. We went through our crawl space and attic. Gave us a full rundown of issues/problems we may be experiencing now and potentially in the future. Thanks for your expertise and quick follow up with the quote and service Tom.
These guys are awesome. Super clear comms to schedule, then received an extremely thorough consultation. We eventually decided to go with them as other shops in the area didn't communicate as well as Attic Pros.
