We Inspect First —
Then Recommend the Honest Fix

Not every duct problem needs a full replacement. Leaks, loose joints, crushed sections, and disconnected runs can often be sealed or repaired at a fraction of the disruption — and that's usually the right call. Replacement makes sense when ducts are too damaged, corroded, undersized, or old to perform, or when repairs would just be patching a system on its way out.

The only way to know which you need is to look. We inspect your ductwork, check for leaks and airflow loss, and give you a straight recommendation — repair when we can, replace only when it's genuinely warranted. If the ducts are just dirty rather than damaged, we'll tell you that too and point you to air duct cleaning instead.

  • Repair-first — we don't over-sell replacement
  • Leaks sealed, airflow restored
  • Less dust and debris pushed into your home
  • A more efficient, better-balanced system
  • Even temperatures room to room
  • A clear, honest recommendation up front

Duct Problems
We Repair & Replace

From a single leaky joint to a failing run, here's what we most often diagnose and fix in Bay Area ductwork.

Leaks & gaps

Leaky joints and seams let conditioned air escape into the attic or walls — one of the biggest hidden sources of wasted energy.

Disconnected sections

A duct that's come loose or fully disconnected dumps your heated or cooled air where you can't use it, and pulls dust in.

Crushed or kinked runs

Flattened, kinked, or sagging flex duct chokes airflow, so some rooms never get comfortable no matter the thermostat.

Poor connections

Badly joined or unsealed connections leak and rattle — we reconnect and seal them properly for tight, quiet airflow.

Damaged duct insulation

Torn or missing duct wrap causes condensation and energy loss; we repair or replace the insulation around the ducts.

Old or failing ductwork

Corroded, brittle, or badly undersized ducts are often past repair — that's when a targeted replacement is the right move.

Signs Your Ducts Need
Repair or Replacement

Duct trouble usually shows up on your comfort and your bills before you ever see the damage. Watch for these.

Uneven room temperatures

Rooms that are always too hot or too cold often mean ducts are leaking, crushed, or disconnected before the air gets there.

Rising energy bills

Leaky ducts can waste a big share of your heating and cooling — climbing bills with no other cause point at the ductwork.

Weak airflow from vents

Little air coming from some registers usually means a blockage, a crushed run, or a disconnected duct upstream.

Whistling or rattling

Whistling (air escaping a leak) or rattling (loose sections and connections) are audible signs of ducts in need of repair.

Dust that won't quit

Excess dust that returns fast after cleaning can mean ducts are pulling in attic or wall debris through gaps and breaks.

Old, aging ductwork

Ducts that are decades old, corroded, or never inspected are worth a look — they may be leaking or ready for replacement.

Noticing any of these? Don't guess — and don't let anyone talk you straight into a full replacement. Book a free inspection and we'll tell you exactly what your ducts need.

Our Air Duct Repair & Replacement Process

The recommendation comes from the inspection, not a sales script. Here's how we handle every job.

Free inspection

We inspect the ductwork end to end, looking for leaks, disconnected or crushed runs, damaged insulation, and airflow loss.

Repair-vs-replace recommendation

We show you what we found and give a straight recommendation — repair what's fixable, replace only what genuinely needs it.

Repair or replace

We seal leaks, reconnect and secure loose sections, fix or replace damaged runs, and restore proper connections and insulation.

Seal & test

We seal the system properly and confirm airflow is restored and balanced, with no leaks left behind.

Cleanup & walkthrough

We clean up, walk you through the work, and flag anything else worth knowing about your system.

Attic Pros recently replaced my old insulation with new insulation. I called them back today 3 weeks later to check on the Rat traps they placed in the Attic as I experienced an unusual odor coming from the air vents throughout the house. Jose of Attic Pros responded and was a very upbeat chearful person who explained what he was going to do prior to going into the Attic to check on the Rat Traps. Fortunately the traps were still set with no activity. Jose took photos ( see attached) while he was in the Attic which showed no activity. I later found that the odor was a filter in the hvac systrem which had debris which causec the odor. Jose completed the inspection by walking around the house and inspecting the outside vents which I appreciated. All the Attic Pro employees which I have come into contact with are Professional, friend;y an do a thouough job completing whatever jobs in their field are requested.

My wife and I found mice droppings in our kitchen cabinet. We reached out to Attic Pros and was connected with Tom. He was very professional and thorough with his inspection. We went through our crawl space and attic. Gave us a full rundown of issues/problems we may be experiencing now and potentially in the future. Thanks for your expertise and quick follow up with the quote and service Tom.

These guys are awesome. Super clear comms to schedule, then received an extremely thorough consultation. We eventually decided to go with them as other shops in the area didn't communicate as well as Attic Pros.

It depends on the condition. Leaks, loose joints, crushed sections, and disconnected runs can usually be repaired. Replacement makes sense when ducts are too corroded, damaged, undersized, or old to perform. The only way to know is an inspection — and we recommend the smaller fix whenever it will actually solve the problem.
No. Our approach is inspection-first and repair-first — we show you what we found and recommend the honest fix. If a repair will do, that's what we'll suggest; full replacement is only for ducts that genuinely can't be repaired to perform.
Common signs are uneven room temperatures, rising energy bills with no other cause, weak airflow from some vents, whistling sounds, and dust that returns quickly after cleaning. Leaks are often hidden in the attic or walls, which is why an inspection is the reliable way to find them.
It can, sometimes significantly. Leaky and disconnected ducts waste a large share of the air your system pays to heat and cool. Sealing leaks and restoring proper airflow helps your HVAC deliver conditioned air where it's supposed to go instead of into your attic or walls.
Many duct systems last a couple of decades, but lifespan depends on the material, installation, moisture, and whether pests or damage have gotten to them. Age alone isn't a reason to replace — condition is. We assess that during the inspection.
Yes. If your ducts are dirty rather than damaged, we offer air duct cleaning, and if we find both issues we can coordinate the cleaning and any repairs together so it's handled in one place.
A targeted repair is often done in a single visit, while a larger replacement can take longer depending on how much ductwork is involved and access to it. We'll give you a clear timeline with your estimate after the inspection.
Yes. Properly sealing joints and connections is central to the job — an unsealed repair just leaks again. We seal the system and verify that airflow is restored and balanced before we're done.
